Textile industry needs to deepen transformation and upgrading

"There is still downward pressure on the economic operation of the textile industry in 2015. We need to further deepen the transformation and upgrading, work hard to resolve various risk pressures, and give appropriate policy support to ensure stable development." In reviewing the overall situation of the textile industry throughout the year, Changjiang Jianming, executive vice director of China Textile Engineering Society, said.
Jiang Jianming introduced that since 2015, the economic operation of China's textile industry has been basically normal, with the main operation indicators showing a steady trend in the second and third quarters, and the investment confidence has recovered. However, the development situation faced by the textile industry is still grim, and the follow-up impact of the cotton storage policy is still outstanding. The growth rate of several operation indicators of the industry has slowed down compared with the same period of last year, and the export decline has deepened.
